How It's Made

At the core of our cold process soaps is a base of nourishing plant oils, each chosen for its specific contribution to the skin and the structure of the bar. Olive Oil: The foundation of our formula—rich in gentle, skin-loving fatty acids that cleanse without stripping and help maintain the skin’s natural moisture barrier. Coconut Oil: Provides cleansing power and contributes to a rich, expansive lather. Kokum Butter: A firm, non-comedogenic butter that contributes to a long-lasting, hard bar while supporting skin repair and elasticity. Organic Castor Oil: Enhances creaminess and stability of the lather. Shea Butter: Adds an extra layer of softness and moisture to support skin hydration. Organic Jojoba Oil: A liquid wax ester that closely mimics the skin’s natural sebum. Because it does not fully saponify, it remains partially intact in the final bar, offering lasting nourishment and countering the dryness found in most bar soaps. Together, these oils create a rare synergy—balancing effective cleansing with deep nourishment. The result is a bar that lathers richly, lasts beautifully, and leaves skin feeling soft, resilient, and truly cared for. Potentiated Spring Water: Potentiated water is water endowed with intention and vitality. We source our water directly from a natural spring next to our home in the Catskill Mountain Watershed. Untreated and unfiltered, it has been lab-tested as perfectly balanced and free from microplastics, forever chemicals, and the pollutants common in municipal systems. The living water is then placed in jars we carry outside under full moons, new moons, and significant cosmic events. Prayers are said over the waters and occasionally a crystal is used within or overtop of the water. Water has memory. Water naturally occurs in all three states (solid, liquid, gas) making it a supernatural shapeshifter. We honor water as we use a minimal amount of it in our process, do not use any chemicals as we water our garden with our “gray water”, and ultimately give prayers of gratitude daily to it as it is a living entity in our lives. Water is life. Our packaging: Each bar is housed in a beautiful locally letterpressed box made from 100% cotton paper grown and milled in the United States. The imagery on our box pulls from ancient alchemical symbolism, honoring the elements of soap making and the cycle of renewal. The design was created by Matthew and Natalie and drawn by Robert M. Place.

Care & Use

The Ritual: Lather the bar between your hands or directly onto wet skin. Inhale the cool, coastal aroma. Cleanse with presence and let the blue lather carry away the weight of the day. Rinse and return to center.
