Decor, Kitchen & Dining
I first began wheel throwing in middle school after patiently waiting to be old enough to take a class. Ever since I made time for clay through independent studies, teaching ceramics at summer camps, and leading my college’s student run pottery studio while earning a computer science degree. Today, I am a data scientist by day and potter by night. While it seems like an unusual combination, computation and clay mirror each other in unexpected ways. The balance of technique and creativity pushes my analytical and creative practice to grow together. As an artist, I’ve found community at a Boston based studio for the past five years. My practice relies on a continuous loop of technical iteration and experimentation, resulting in cohesive collections that harmonize technical precision with organic surface design.
